Proposal to Launch a "Quranic Renaissance" from the Heart of the University of Kurdistan

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, during a spiritual gathering with the Quran held as a cultural adjunct to the 48th National Quran Competition, Hujjat al-Islam Habib Hatami, head of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office at the university, emphasized the need for a new Quranic movement within the country's academic sphere.

Proposal to Launch a "Quranic Renaissance" in Universities
In a strategic proposal during the ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Hatami stated, "Just as the literacy rate approached zero in the early days of the revolution through the literacy movement, today we need to launch a Quranic renaissance in universities to make familiarity with the Quran a widespread culture among academics."

Compilation of a Comprehensive Quranic Atlas for Kurdistan's Higher Education
Pointing to the hidden Quranic potential within the university, he announced plans to identify and organize these talents, adding, "In just a few hours, we discovered that the University of Kurdistan has several individuals who have memorized the entire Quran. This underscores the necessity of compiling a comprehensive Quranic atlas for the province's higher education to create a complete database of the region's Quranic elites."

University of Kurdistan: A Spiritual Adjunct to the National Competition
The head of the representative office considered the gathering a spiritual complement to the national Quran competition and expressed his gratitude for the support from the university president, the cultural vice presidency, student organizations, and the Department of Shafi'i Jurisprudence. He stressed, "Today, universities can become a scientific, Quranic, and spiritual front through such spiritual gatherings."

This ceremony, held to align with the spiritual atmosphere created in Kurdistan province—home to the Negel Quran shrine—is considered a step toward strengthening Quranic culture in the academic environment.
