In a remarkable international achievement, the University of Kurdistan has been ranked among the top 8% of universities globally, according to the prestigious CWUR rankings for 2025. This success is accompanied by a three-place rise in its national ranking, securing the 28th position in the country.
University of Kurdistan Ranks Among the Top 8% of Universities Worldwide
According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the 2025 results from the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) show that the university ranked 1700th globally and 28th among Iranian universities out of 21,462 institutions evaluated. This achievement signifies a three-place improvement in the national rankings compared to the previous year and places the University of Kurdistan among the top 8% of universities worldwide.
In this ranking, the University of Kurdistan has surpassed many prominent universities in the country and the region, including Bu-Ali Sina University, Razi University, Kharazmi University, University of Mazandaran, and Yazd University.
